The Armed Forces around the world have the need to build, repair and maintain runways and road networks in some very remote locations, they also must be able to repair damaged runways by hostile attack very quickly and to a high standard. 

Client: 
US Air Force and British Air Force. 

Products Used:
Processed asphalt plannings and virgin asphalt in 1-ton bags.

Challenge:
The challenge is there are no local asphalt plants to supply asphalt, and none that give them 24-hour service 7 days a week.
 
Solution:
Greener Asphalt Solutions supplied two of our Mobile 5ton Asphalt Mixers with feed hoppers to both the Falkland Islands for the British Armed Forces, and the Ascension Island for the US Armed Forces, as both required hot asphalt on demand. 
Several thousand tons of granular pre-blended asphalt in 1-ton bags are delivered to the sites.
The asphalt paving team can then mix the asphalt when required 24/7

Result: 
Both facilities now have the capability of reacting to any need for hot asphalt whether it’s for emergency rapid response or everyday maintenance and road building.
